Free July 16 Field Day at Cala Farm in Wisconsin

Cover cropping and high tunnels are two strategies that can increase yield and quality in farm production. Attend this field day to learn about both strategies from organic farmer Rodrigo Cala and University of Minnesota Researcher Vivian Wauters.
A free field day will be held July 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cala Farm, 1354 3 3/4 St, Turtle Lake, Wis.
At the field day, you will get to:
- tour Rodrigo's high tunnels and see what is growing at Cala Farm and
- see first-hand a variety cover crops growing as part of University of Minnesota cover crop research project
Lunch will be provided to all attendees and a $50 travel reimbursement will be available to farmers (beginning, experienced or future farmers) that complete an evaluation at the end of the event.
