Organic Field Day at Turnip Rock Sept. 16

Please join Minnesota Food Association and its farmers for an organic field day at Turnip Rock Farm. "Animals & Value Added for a Sustainable Farming Business" will be held Sept. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Turnip Rock, 260 95th St., Clear Lake, Wis.

Turnip Rock Farm is one of the few farms in the nation to offer a full diet CSA, including Organic vegetables, farmstead artisan cheese from grass fed cows, free range pasture raised eggs, and responsibly and respectfully raised pork, chicken, beef and veal, all from the farm. Farmers Josh Bryceson and Rama Hoffpauir have over 15 years of farming experience, and currently farm 9 acres of produce for a 200-member CSA. Learn about how they have incorporated animals and value-added products into their farming business to be more sustainable, both economically and environmentally. This field day is designed for immigrant, minority and historically under-served farmers, but is free and open to anyone.
