Join together this season for farm walks at three different commons-based farms to learn more about how emerging farmers are working together to steward land, grow food, and operate agricultural businesses outside of private land ownership. Engage with others about Commons and share visions for a future of shared land stewardship.
What is a land commons? Land commons are not a new concept, Indigenous cultures across the globe, for whom land ownership is a settler/colonial imposition, practiced for millenia (and still practice) community land relationships that are centered around community ownership and relationship with land.
What is Minnesota Commons Land? Minnesota Commons Land is an emergent group of allied organizations, farmers, and community members who support land access for emerging farmers who choose to farm in community land relationships.
