Minnesota land rent workshops set for fall

Minnesota land rent workshops set for fall

By Scout Nelson

The University of Minnesota Extension is offering a special program for farmers and landlords this fall to help them determine the appropriate rent for farm land.

They’re hosting some super informative workshops all about land rent. We all know that deciding a fair price for farm land rent can be a big puzzle. Experts David Bau and Nathan Hulinsky will guide you through different ways to figure out a good rate that both landowners and farmers can be happy with.

If you’re in Fillmore or Houston counties, mark these dates on your calendar:

On Tuesday, Oct. 31, pop over to the Fillmore County Office Building Room 108 in Preston from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Later that day, another workshop will be held in Caledonia from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Criminal Justice Center's basement meeting room.

Need some more info or have other questions about farming stuff? Reach out to the local University of Minnesota Extension educator. Residents in Fillmore and Houston can call 507-765-3896 or 507-725-5807. Or you can email wins0115@umn.edu.

Don’t forget to check out the University of Minnesota Extension’s website at www.extension.umn.edu.
These meetings will be happening all over Minnesota from late October to mid-December. They’re planning some online Zoom meetings for January too!

Don’t miss out on this chance to learn about farm land rent. No need to sign up in advance – just show up and get ready to learn!
