Dan and Megan Roberts of Blue Earth County, Minnesota, have made their state proud by winning the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Achievement Award. This notable accomplishment was announced at the AFBF Annual Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Roberts, Minnesota's first national titleholders, are renowned for their agricultural dedication. They manage a diversified farm, including corn, soybeans, and farrow-to-finish hogs. Dan has been involved for over 14 years, while Megan balances her academic role at Minnesota State University, Mankato, with her farm duties.
Their involvement extends beyond farming into significant roles within the Farm Bureau. Dan is the current president of their county chapter, and Megan, a seasoned participant in Farm Bureau events, won the state YF&R Discussion Meet in 2017.
The couple’s commitment to agriculture advocacy is also evident in their community engagement, including organizing local events and securing educational grants for youth. Their achievements reflect not only their farming success but also their leadership in Farm Bureau and community initiatives.
This award, recognizing outstanding production farming and leadership achievements, is a testament to their hard work and impact on both the agricultural industry and their community. Roberts’ victory is celebrated by the Minnesota Farm Bureau and stands as a source of inspiration for young agricultural leaders across the nation.
