Free Gardening Workshop for All

Free Gardening Workshop for All

By Scout Nelson

Cook County Master Gardeners are organizing a Garden Education Day to support individuals interested in gardening. This event provides a valuable opportunity for participants to learn practical skills and gain useful knowledge for the growing season. The programme is designed for both beginners and experienced gardeners who want to improve their gardening practices.

The event will include expert-led presentations that focus on important gardening topics. Participants will also take part in hands-on “make and take” activities, which allow them to practice skills and take-home useful items. In addition, personalized question-and-answer sessions will be available, helping attendees receive guidance based on their specific needs.

The event is open to anyone interested in gardening and is offered free of charge. However, registration is required to attend. This ensures proper planning and allows organizers to provide a better learning experience for all participants.

The programme will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time. The location for the event is the Cook County Higher Education Building, located at 300 West 3rd Street, Grand Marais, Minnesota.

The organizers are committed to providing equal opportunities for all individuals. Those who require accommodation due to disabilities are encouraged to contact the event organizers at least two weeks before the event. While late requests may still be considered, early communication helps ensure better arrangements.

The session will be delivered in English, and interpreter services may be arranged if requested in advance. This helps make the event more accessible to a wider audience. The event is open to all individuals who want to learn more about gardening. It is free to attend, however, registration is required. Interested participants can register online.

For more information, participants can contact the event educator through email or phone. Overall, the Garden Education Day aims to provide simple, practical, and effective learning experiences that help individuals grow healthier plants and achieve a successful gardening season.
