University of Minnesota Extension is hosting a webinar session as part of its winter fruit and vegetable production series. This session focuses on helping participants learn how to build and manage farm coolers for better crop storage. It is designed especially for aspiring and small to medium-sized farmers.
The webinar is part of a weekly educational series held throughout the winter. These sessions cover important topics related to fruit and vegetable production. Participants learn about planning, irrigation, pest management, and other practices needed for successful crop production.
In this session, the focus is on building farm coolers. Experts will discuss different options such as Cool Bot systems and walk-in coolers. These storage systems help farmers maintain proper temperatures and extend the shelf life of fresh produce. By using the right cooling methods, farmers can reduce waste and improve product quality. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Participants can sign up using the official link.

The session will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Central Time. It will be conducted online as part of a webinar series, making it easy for participants to join from any location.
