Free Webinar on Managing Large Farm Packsheds

Free Webinar on Managing Large Farm Packsheds

By Scout Nelson

The University of Minnesota (UMN) Extension is hosting a free webinar on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Central time, as part of its winter fruit and vegetable production series. This session focuses on fully and semi-enclosed packsheds for large farms, giving participants practical knowledge for managing farm packing operations effectively.

UMN Extension educators, industry professionals, and experienced farmers lead these sessions. They provide guidance on crop management, planning, irrigation, pest control, and other critical aspects of fruit and vegetable production. The webinars aim to help both aspiring and small to medium-sized farmers improve productivity and farm efficiency.

Registration is required to attend the webinar, and participants can register for as many sessions as they wish. Registered attendees will receive a link to the webinar prior to each session. This ensures easy access and participation from any location, as the event is delivered online. For registration visit: https://umn.zoom.us/meeting/register

UMN Extension emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity for participation. Anyone needing accommodations for disabilities should contact the event organizer, Marissa Schuh (mschuh@umn.edu), at least two weeks before the event. Requests submitted later will be accommodated whenever possible. The webinar is conducted in English, and interpreter services may be available if requested in advance.

Participants also have the opportunity to explore other winter 2026 topics on the Fruit and Vegetable Production Webinars page, providing a broader understanding of production best practices.

By attending, farmers gain hands-on strategies for operating large farm packsheds efficiently, improving fruit and vegetable handling, maintaining food quality, and increasing overall productivity. This webinar series fosters knowledge sharing and connects farmers with expert guidance, helping them succeed in modern agricultural operations.
