The University of Minnesota Extension is hosting two pesticide applicator recertification field days for both commercial/noncommercial (CNC) and private applicators. These outdoor training events include interactive demonstrations focused on safety, equipment, and effective pest control strategies.
The first field day takes place July 15, 2025, at the UMN Research and Outreach Center in Lamberton, Minnesota. The second will be held on August 12, 2025, in Waseca.
The registration deadline has been extended to July 11 for Lamberton and will close on August 5 for Waseca.
Field days begin at 7:30 a.m. Private applicators will attend until noon, with optional sessions available until 4:30 p.m. CNC applicators will participate until 3:00 p.m. for categories A and C, with an additional session for category H from 3:05 to 4:20 p.m.
These events are for -

- Private pesticide applicators needing recertification in 2026.
The agenda includes in-field demonstration plots, drift management, nozzle selection, drone applications, pest ID, pollinator protection, and more. Safety is a major focus, with sessions on mixing, loading, and seed treatment handling.
