The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has issued a consumer advisory for certain ice cream and non-dairy frozen dessert products produced by Milkjam Creamery in Minneapolis. This advisory was released after a routine inspection found a risk of metal fragments in some products, raising concerns about consumer safety.
The affected products include Black Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert with lot code 052662-26 and Toasted Coconut Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert with lot code 052763-27. Additionally, two ice cream flavors, Zahra Ice Cream and Ridin’ Duuuurty Ice Cream, are also included in the advisory. These two flavors were served to customers in store between May 26 and May 28, 2026.
All the impacted items, except for the two in store varieties, can be identified by their lot of codes printed on the packaging. These products were sold only at the Milkjam Creamery shop located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumers who purchased or consumed these products are advised to take caution.
So far, there have been no reported cases of illness or injury linked to these products. However, health officials strongly advise anyone who feels unwell after consuming these items to contact a healthcare provider immediately. Even in the absence of confirmed cases, precautionary steps are necessary to prevent possible harm.
Consumers are instructed to either throw away the affected products or return them to the store where they were purchased. This step is important to reduce any risk associated with potential contamination.
For further assistance or questions, consumers can contact the Minnesota Department of Agriculture at 651-201-6300. The department continues to monitor the situation and emphasizes the importance of food safety and public awareness.
