The Minnesota Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with BMMSwift International Consulting Group, is excited to host the Zambia-Minnesota Agriculture Business Forum from April 29 to May 2, 2024.
The forum aims to develop strategic partnerships that drive economic growth and opportunities in the agriculture sector by bringing together agricultural leaders from Minnesota and Zambia.
MDA Commissioner Thom Petersen will open the event with welcoming remarks scheduled for April 30 at 9:10 AM at the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center, located at 200 SE Oak Street, Minneapolis.
Key figures such as Ms. Yvonne Mpundu, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, and Chibamba Kanyama, Zambian Ambassador to the US, will join Commissioner Petersen in leading discussions that are set to shape the future of agricultural collaborations between the two regions.
This crucial forum is not only a venue for discussion but also a precursor to an agricultural trade mission planned for Zambia in June 2024. Attendees can expect a day full of insightful discussions and networking opportunities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30.
By uniting key stakeholders, the forum will serve as a platform to discuss and design future agricultural initiatives that benefit both Minnesota and Zambia.
