Farmers have a unique opportunity to make their voices heard by joining an overnight bus trip to St. Paul. This trip is designed for agricultural producers who want to engage with legislators and discuss policies affecting their farms. Participants will meet with lawmakers from their districts and key committees that shape agricultural policies.
What to Expect?
Attendees will:
- Receive updates on state legislative matters from an agricultural policy expert.
- Join small teams to meet with individual legislators in pre-arranged appointments.
- Travel comfortably with fellow farmers on a round-trip motor coach ride.
Trip Schedule
Monday, February 24, 2025
- Departures begin at 11:00 a.m. from Red Lake Falls, with multiple pickup locations along the route.
- Lunch will be served on the bus.
- Arrival in St. Paul at 4:40 p.m., followed by hotel check-in at Radisson St. Paul Downtown.
- Legislative briefing and group dinner at 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, February 25, 2025
- Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.
- Team meetings with legislators from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Group photo on the Capitol steps at 3:15 p.m.
- Departure from St. Paul at 3:30 p.m., with a dinner stop along the way.
- Arrival back at Red Lake Falls by 9:00 p.m.
Registration Details
Free for association members
$150 for non-members (includes transportation, meals, and hotel accommodations with double occupancy).
Register by February 14, 2025, to secure a hotel room. Late registrations depend on availability.
