A crucial workshop dedicated to farmland rental rates and agreements is scheduled to take place in Blue Earth, Minnesota. This event, set for Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Central time, will be held at the Ag Center Conference Room, located at 415 S. Grove St, Blue Earth, MN 56013.
The workshop aims to cover a range of pertinent topics, including local historic and projected farmland rental rate trends, current farmland values and sales, strategies for establishing fair rental agreements, and understanding input costs. The workshop will delve into current corn and soybean prices, what constitutes affordable rent, rate of return to landlords at current market values, and the structuring of flexible rental agreements.
This workshop is designed for landlords, farmers, and agri-business professionals, offering them an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the largest input cost in farming – land rental rates. The event promises to be an informative session, equipping attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of farmland rentals in today's market.
