Class III Milk Price Rises to $18.36 for December



The USDA announced that the December Federal Order Class III milk price rose to $18.36 per hundredweight. That was 33-cents higher for the month, and $2.64 more than December 2020.

For the entire year, the Class III price averaged $17.08 throughout 2021. Prices peaked at $18.96 in May, but fell as low as $15.75 during February. During the 2020 calendar year, the Class III price averaged $18.16.

The Class IV component price was $1.09 higher for the month at $19.88, and $6.52 over the previous year.
