Walz Provides Flexibility for Fuel Transportation

Gov. Tim Walz signed an executive order providing emergency relief from regulations for motor carriers and drivers transporting fuel in Minnesota.

Executive Order 22-01 helps address fuel transportation issues caused by COVID-19 staffing shortages, challenging winter driving conditions, and product supply disruptions that have affected Minnesotans' ability to get the necessary fuel to heat their homes.

"Reliable access to propane and other fuels is critical for the safety of Minnesotans in the coming weeks and months," said Governor Walz. "This temporary relief will allow carriers and drivers to efficiently transport these time-sensitive and essential supplies and not be disrupted by hours of service regulations."

This Executive Order remains in effect for 30 days.
