Minnesota Students Join Farm Report Live

By Scout Nelson

The U.S. Farm Report College Roadshow Live Taping Event will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. on the St. Paul campus lawn by the bull sculptures. In case of bad weather, the event will move indoors to the Minnesota Commons in the St. Paul Student Center.

This exciting event brings the popular agricultural program back to campus, where students, faculty, and guests can take part in a live taping featuring industry discussions, expert insights, and engaging campus activities.

Each fall, the U.S. Farm Report travels to land-grant universities nationwide to showcase agricultural research and discuss key issues shaping the future of farming.

Attendees can look forward to warm beverages, giveaways, and special contests, making the event both fun and educational.

Students are encouraged to participate in the Social Media Contest for Student Groups, known as the “Beck’s Be the Difference Challenge.” The winning group will receive a $1,500 prize. To enter, groups must create an Instagram Reel or TikTok video showing how they make a difference in agriculture.

Videos should be no longer than two minutes and must be posted by 8 a.m. on October 16, 2025, tagging @BecksHybrids and including the hashtags #BetheDifference and #BecksCollegeRoadshow. The winner will be announced during the live event, and at least one group member must be present to claim the prize.

Students can also participate individually in the Beck’s Sign Contest, where the most creative sign will win a $250 Visa® gift card. Participants can bring their own signs or make one before the event.

The U.S. Farm Report College Roadshow promises to be an exciting celebration of agricultural innovation, student creativity, and community engagement.
