New face joins MFBF as new public policy specialist

By Scout Nelson

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) is excited to announce Loren Dauer as the newest member of their team, taking on the role of public policy specialist beginning February 6, 2024. Dauer's appointment marks a significant step forward in the organization's commitment to advocating for the agricultural community within the state.

"Landing this role at Farm Bureau feels like coming home. I'm eager to stand up for Minnesota's farmers and ranchers," shared Dauer, reflecting on his journey through public service and agriculture to his new position at MFBF.

His educational background, a 2019 graduate from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, and his professional experience, including work at the state Capitol and as a district outreach representative for Congressman Brad Finstad, equip him well for his new responsibilities.

In his new capacity, Dauer will play a crucial role in supporting MFBF's public policy initiatives. This includes advocating for agricultural interests at the state capitol, conducting issue-based research, and enhancing the bureau's outreach activities with county and regional Farm Bureaus across Minnesota.

Dauer's diverse experience in legislative assistance and constituent relations makes him a key asset to the MFBF's efforts to represent and support the agricultural sector's interests. His appointment confirms the bureau's commitment to ensuring farmers' voices are heard in policy discussions.
