Inspire and inform at MRES eco experience

By Scout Nelson

Step up and join the MRES Eco Experience as a volunteer! With 250,000 visitors expected, your help is crucial. We’re already at 67% of our volunteer shifts filled, but with just two days left before Volunteer Training, we need more hands-on deck. Whether you’re a novice, expert, or simply curious, your participation can make a difference in inspiring thousands of visitors.

If you’re a returning volunteer, your experience is invaluable, and if you’re new to MRES, we welcome your interest. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about solar energy, energy storage, and efficiency, and to share that knowledge with others. We’ll provide all the training you need to feel confident and prepared.

Volunteers are required to attend a mandatory training session on Thursday, August 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mayflower Church in Minneapolis.

During the training, you’ll receive your MRES T-shirt, free Fair tickets, and learn valuable talking points from MRES experts. You’ll also have the chance to engage in lively discussions and enter prize drawings.

Commit to one or more 4-hour shifts between August 22 and September 2. Shifts are available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with three volunteers needed for both indoor and outdoor shifts.
