Join the 4-H barn bowl webinar for livestock enthusiasts

By Scout Nelson

Attention NE Region 4-H youth in grades 3 and up! Mark your calendars for an exciting and informative webinar happening on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. Central time. Hosted by the University of Minnesota Extension, this event is a unique opportunity for young livestock enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of animal care and health.

Featured speaker Amanda Doran, a veterinary medical officer with USDA APHIS Veterinary Services, will cover essential topics including premise IDs, common livestock diseases, poultry testing, and biosecurity. Her insights will provide valuable knowledge to young minds interested in veterinary science and animal husbandry.

After the educational session, the event will turn into a lively game of barn bowl, played Kahoot style! Participants can expect a fun-filled and competitive game with chances to win prizes. All you need to do is bring your favorite snack and join the Zoom meeting on the scheduled date.

This event is free, but registration is required. You can sign up in 4-H Online by January 26. If you need assistance, check the event registration guide or contact your local Extension educator, Nicole Kudrle, at vande422@umn.edu or 218-404-6596.

The University of Minnesota Extension is committed to accessibility and inclusivity. If you require accommodation for persons with disabilities, please contact Nicole Kudrle at least two weeks before the event's start date.
