Minnesota 4-H ag ambassador announced for 2024-25

Mattea Quigley, a 4-H member from Dakota County in Hastings, has been selected as a 2024-25 Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassador.

Mattea stood out among a competitive group of applicants for her passion for agriculture, dedication to 4-H, and commitment to being a positive role model for youth across Minnesota.

As a Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassador, Mattea will serve from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. During this time, she will participate in various events and programs aimed at promoting agriculture and providing hands-on learning experiences to communities.

Ambassadors like Mattea will have the opportunity to speak at major statewide events, such as Farmfest and the Women in Agriculture Leadership Conference. They will support 4-H agriculture programs, including 4-H and FFA Crop Scouting, and lead workshops in 4-H Plant Science.

Ambassadors will also be actively involved in local county fairs and the Minnesota State Fair, where they will showcase the importance of agriculture within 4-H and the state as a whole.

Minnesota 4-H has selected 26 exceptional youth from across the state to serve as Agriculture Ambassadors for the 2024-25 term. These ambassadors are eager to advocate for the agriculture industry by engaging youth and communities in agricultural education.

Communities and organizations across Minnesota are encouraged to invite a 4-H Agriculture Ambassador to participate in local events.

Whether it's speaking at a farmers market, participating in a school agriculture day, or leading activities at a community fair, these ambassadors are excited to share their knowledge and passion for agriculture. Requests should be made at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability. Ambassadors are available for a wide range of events, providing valuable agricultural education to local communities.
