The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is set to highlight local excellence at the Natural Products Expo West, scheduled for March 4 - 7, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center. Through its Make it Minnesota Program, MDA will feature ten distinguished local brands, offering them a platform to expand their market presence significantly.
Expo West serves as a pivotal gathering for companies specializing in organic, natural, and conscious consumer packaged goods (CPG). The event is renowned for attracting a substantial number of exhibitors and attendees, making it an ideal venue for brands aiming to elevate their profile and reach out to a broader audience.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the MDA to support local businesses in gaining a competitive edge. The "Minnesota Pavilions" at the Expo provide a cooperative, cost-effective space for brands to showcase their products, thanks to the collective efforts of multiple state departments and agencies, including the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development and the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute.
The participating brands span a variety of sectors, indicating the diverse nature of Minnesota’s vibrant business ecosystem. From innovative food and beverage options to pet food companies, these brands reflect the rich entrepreneurial spirit of the state. The pavilion will not only feature new players in the market but also seasoned companies like Seven Sundays and JonnyPops, which have leveraged the Expo to grow into brands with a significant national and international distribution.
The event also features the sixth-annual Minnesota Mingle; a networking event designed to foster connections within the natural food community. This gathering is a testament to the state’s commitment to nurturing its homegrown businesses and promoting sustainable business practices.
In essence, Minnesota’s presence at Expo West is more than just a marketing effort; it is a strategic move to support local businesses in reaching a global audience, enhancing their growth potential, and contributing to the state’s economy. Through these pavilions, Minnesota not only showcases its brands but also its dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the natural products industry.
