Minnesota Corn Shines at Farmfest 2025

Minnesota Corn Shines at Farmfest 2025

By Scout Nelson

Minnesota Corn will once again take part in Farmfest 2025, held from August 5 to 7 at Gilfillan Estate near Morgan, Minnesota. Attendees can visit Tent 702, located at the corner of Seventh Street and Seed Row, to learn how the organization is working to create opportunities for growers and improve the quality of life in farming communities.

Visitors can join or renew their membership in the Minnesota Corn Growers Association (MCGA) and receive a special gift. Membership strengthens grassroots advocacy at the state and national levels, supports local programs, and helps fund the Minnesota Corn scholarship program for young adults.

A major highlight at this year’s tent is the launch of the “Checkoff Delivers” campaign, which showcases the powerful return of the Minnesota corn checkoff. The program has been driving investments in research, market development, and community connections for 35 years. A recent study showed that “for each dollar invested in domestic market activities through the checkoff, Minnesota farmers see an $87 return.”

Farmfest will also feature policy forums inside the Wick Building, covering key issues like artificial intelligence in agriculture, the farm safety net, sustainable aviation fuel, ag trade, and the future of agricultural education.

And, of course, Minnesota Corn’s sweet corn ice cream returns by popular demand. Known as a favorite among visitors, this delicious giveaway is available throughout the show and is a fun treat that reflects the spirit of the corn community.

Farmfest 2025 offers a unique opportunity to connect with ag leaders, learn about vital programs, and celebrate Minnesota’s corn industry.
