Minnesota State Fair Entry Deadlines 2025

The Minnesota State Fair is back in 2025, and so are its popular competitions. For participants across all categories, it's time to mark your calendars and prepare entries. Known as the Great Minnesota Get-Together, this fair celebrates talent and hard work from across the state.

Registration for most competitions is now open. Visit mnstatefair.org/competitions to learn more and begin your entry process.

Key registration opens June 23 for horses, FFA, and open class livestock. Several deadlines follow for other contests.

Important upcoming deadlines include:

  • Horses: July 21 (mail), August 1 (online)
  • Livestock (Beef, Dairy, Sheep, Swine, Poultry, Rabbits, Goats, Llamas, Stock Dogs): July 28 (mail), July 30 (online)
  • Creative Activities and K-12 Competitions: July 29
  • FFA Vegetables, Potatoes, Flowers, and Demonstrations: July 30–August 1
  • Christmas Trees, Crop Art, Scarecrow, Farm Crops: August 6
  • Flower Show, Fruit, Wine, Honey, Open Class Vegetables: August 7
  • FFA Agriculture Technology and Crops: August 8
  • FFA Judging and Safe Tractor Operator Contests: August 18
  • New Corn Competition: August 28

Minnesota 4-H members should check the 4-H competition page for their specific entry deadlines and premium book details.

The 2025 Minnesota State Fair will run from Thursday, August 21, through Monday, September 1. Whether you are an artist, livestock enthusiast, or creative exhibitor, this is your chance to shine at one of the state’s biggest events.
