In 2022, Polk County was the largest spring wheat-producing county in Minnesota with 17.3 million bushels, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Marshall County was second with 11.4 million. Kittson County was the third-largest spring wheat-producing county with 8.00 million bushels.
The highest yielding county was Polk with an average of 65.6 bushels per acre harvested. Roseau County had the second-highest yield at 64.8 bushels per acre. The lowest yielding county was Morrison at 37.4. Dakota and Wright had the second lowest yield at 38.1.
