South Central College (SCC) recently announced its decision to place Tina LeBrun at the helm of the Minnesota State Southern Agricultural Center of Excellence. LeBrun is not a new face at SCC, having served as a farm business management instructor there.
Starting Oct. 11, LeBrun takes over a position left vacant by Megan Roberts. Her mission is clear: to connect students to essential resources that cater to the agricultural workforce needs of southern Minnesota.
LeBrun's expertise in the field of education and agriculture is profound. She has been part of the SCC team since January 2009 and has spent over 15 years engaging with faculty, staff, and students. Her leadership positions are not limited to SCC; she once helmed the National Farm and Ranch Business Management Educator Association.
Her academic journey traces back to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she secured a bachelor's degree in agriculture economics and animal science. She further refined her academic prowess with a master's in education from the University of Minnesota.
The center LeBrun will be leading comprises seven distinguished member institutions, including SCC, Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and Minnesota State University, among others.
