Ag Leadership Event for Women Growth

Ag Leadership Event for Women Growth

By Scout Nelson

The Women’s Agricultural Leadership Conference will take place on March 31 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This annual event will bring together individuals from across the agriculture sector to learn, connect, and grow as leaders. The theme for this year will be “Local Leadership Global Impact,” which will focus on building leadership skills and supporting women in the changing agriculture industry.

The event will also celebrate 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer. This recognition will highlight the important role women will play in agriculture, especially in production and farming activities. It will show the need to support and recognize their contributions to the industry.

“For many of our attendees, this is the best one-day event of the year. Our unique event brings together people from all areas of agriculture to learn, dialogue, and network,” said Doris Mold, conference co-founder. “Our program encourages connections and energizes and motivates participants to become leaders in their work and communities. We’re also excited to celebrate the declaration of 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer, marking a commitment to empowering and recognizing the contributions of women in agriculture - particularly those involved in production agriculture.”

The event will begin with a welcome session and will include a panel discussion focused on leadership and global impact. Experts from both international and local agriculture organizations will share their ideas and experiences with participants. This will help attendees understand real-world challenges and solutions in agriculture.

Participants will attend breakout sessions and mini sessions that will cover important topics such as leadership, communication, global markets, agricultural policy, marketing tools, stress management, and work-life balance. These sessions will provide useful knowledge and practical skills for personal and professional growth.

The conference will also offer strong networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with leaders and peers in the agriculture sector. The event will end with a post-conference gathering at the Arboretum café.

The conference is open to anyone interested in agricultural leadership, regardless of age or background. Participants can register through the official Women’s Agricultural Leadership Conference website to learn more and attend the event.
