Farmers seeking a comprehensive approach to financial management can greatly benefit from the upcoming workshop on Holistic Financial Planning. Scheduled for February 17th and 19th, this session, led by experienced holistic management practitioner Cree Bradley, focuses on integrating values-based decision-making with practical financial strategies.
The workshop spans two days, with 10 hours of immersive learning. Participants will explore unique financial concepts, such as social, biological, and paper wealth, and delve into the importance of identifying weak links and wealth-generating expenses. The sessions aim to shift perspectives on wealth and expenses, fostering a more holistic understanding of farm management.
The approach to financial planning involves value clarification, where participants define their most meaningful aspects, forming the basis for value-based decisions. This ensures financial plans align with farmers' core values and goals and demonstrates how financial planning can be a proactive tool for achieving objectives.
Cree Bradley, a Holistic Management expert and practitioner, imparts her knowledge through her honest, open, and real-life experiences at Chelsea Morning Farm / Never Summer Sugarbush. She offers participants a simple yet effective framework, tools, and decision-making process to empower them in making financial choices.
The workshop's sliding scale cost of $50-$100 per farm, with scholarships available and no cost for current LSP Farm Beginnings participants, makes it accessible to a wide audience. Required for participation is a computer with internet access and an updated Zoom.
The event offers farmers a chance to align their financial management with their values, promoting profitability, land stewardship, and quality of life.
