The University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership will host the 2025 Midwest Climate Resilience Conference from October 20 to 22, 2025, at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The three-day event will bring together experts from the public, private, and non-profit sectors to inspire regional collaboration on climate adaptation and resilience.
The conference will highlight innovative strategies that communities across the Midwest and Great Lakes can adopt to adapt to climate change impacts. Sessions will include presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster practical solutions and long-term planning. The program runs from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 20, 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on October 21, and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on October 22.
Registration is now open, with early registration available until September 12. Fees vary by category — $300 for non-profit, academic, and government participants, $400 for private or corporate attendees, and $200 for students before the deadline. Rates increase after September 13, and exhibitor registration is priced at $400. A one-day pass is also available for $150.
A limited number of travel scholarships will be offered to community leaders, tribal representatives, and nonprofit organizations that might not otherwise be able to attend. Those interested in sponsorships or supporting travel assistance can visit the event’s Sponsors page for details.
The University of Minnesota Extension ensures accessibility for all participants. Interpreter services and disability accommodations are available upon advance request. For more details or registration transfers, contact ext-reg@umn.edu.
