The 4H after-school program at JE Pearson Elementary School in Wheaton, Minnesota, invites young learners to explore their interests through hands-on projects and interactive sessions this fall. Organized by the University of Minnesota Extension, the program encourages creativity, teamwork, and skill development in a fun and educational environment.
Instead of just reading about a topic, 4H allows students to dive into what they love and create something meaningful. Through practical learning, participants gain real-life experiences that lead to personal growth and accomplishment. The sessions are open to students of all ages and are designed to make learning enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
The group will meet in the school cafeteria from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. on the following Mondays: October 13, October 20, November 3, November 17, December 8, and December 15. Each session provides opportunities for youth to engage in guided projects and share their progress with peers.
Participation is free of charge, making it easy for families to get involved. Interested participants can register by contacting Melanie Klein, 4H Program Associate, at 320-892-4843 or via email at klei1072@umn.edu.
The University of Minnesota Extension is committed to equal opportunity and inclusion in all programs. Those needing special accommodations are encouraged to contact the event coordinator two weeks before the start of the program to ensure support.
The 4H after-school program is conducted in English, with interpreter services available upon advance request. Young learners are encouraged to join this opportunity to discover new skills, meet friends, and have fun while learning with 4H.
