The Hubbard County 4-H Livestock Project Development Committee (PDC) continues to support youth development through livestock education and hands-on learning. This committee helps organize and promote educational programs and events focused on animal science, particularly livestock species. Its mission is to encourage participation and strengthen the skills of 4-H youth interested in livestock.
The Livestock PDC meets monthly to discuss project activities, leadership opportunities, and ways to enhance the 4-H livestock program. The next meeting will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 6 to 7 p.m. Central time at the Hubbard County Extension Conference Room, located at 201 Fair Avenue, Park Rapids, Minnesota.
Membership is open to actively enrolled 4-H youth in grades five and above who have completed at least one year in the livestock project and have exhibited livestock at a county fair. Parents and guardians of enrolled members are also welcome to participate. Adults interested in joining must complete the Minnesota 4-H volunteer screening process by October 31, 2025 before applying.
Applications for both youth and adults are available through the Livestock PDC. This opportunity allows participants to share ideas, plan educational events, and strengthen the livestock project area.
The University of Minnesota Extension ensures equal access to all programs. Those requiring accommodations are encouraged to contact the event coordinator at least two weeks prior to the meeting.
For questions or more details about attending, contact Brooke Remer, 4-H Educator, at piepe056@umn.edu or 218-732-3391. The session will be held in English, and interpreter services can be arranged upon request.
This event highlights the 4-H program’s commitment to fostering leadership, community involvement, and agricultural education among youth.
