By Scout Nelson

The upcoming 2025 Extension Women in Ag Conference will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Park Event Center in Waite Park, Minnesota. Hosted by the University of Minnesota Women in Ag Network, in partnership with the Minnesota Farm Service Agency, this event explores the theme “Farming Your Way, Creating Balance.”

The program highlights the unique opportunities and responsibilities that women hold within the agricultural sector, offering insights into how different paths, careers, and perspectives can find their place in the world of farming.

Participants will learn effective strategies for blending family life, professional goals, and farm management duties. Discussions will emphasize topics such as leadership, business planning, and personal well-being, addressing the practical and emotional aspects of agricultural work.

Through interactive workshops and expert-led presentations, attendees can discover methods for streamlining day-to-day tasks while maintaining focus on their larger vision. The conference will also feature networking sessions, where attendees can connect with one another, exchange ideas, and form valuable partnerships.

All individuals with an interest in agriculture are welcome, regardless of experience or focus area. Beginners can explore introductory topics, while those with more background can find advanced discussions on modern approaches and evolving trends. Participants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to collaborate, share success stories, and identify strategies for building a more inclusive and supportive agricultural community.

The theme “Farming Your Way, Creating Balance” reflects the idea that each person’s journey in agriculture is unique. This event aims to help participants define success on their own terms while taking into account the practical realities of running or contributing to an operation. Regardless of role or scale, everyone can benefit from discovering balanced approaches to daily challenges.

By gathering industry experts, community partners, and enthusiastic learners, the 2025 Extension Women in Ag Conference promises to inform, motivate, and unite women interested in shaping the future of agriculture.

Together, attendees will leave with actionable ideas, renewed confidence, and a clearer path toward fulfilling their distinct roles in the agricultural landscape. The entire experience underscores that anyone can participate in this exciting event.
