Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is all ears. They're keen to hear public thoughts regarding the safety improvement of the Lake Bronson Dam situated in Kittson County.
The reason for sudden interest is that the dam is showing its age and needs urgent care. There's a plan to replace its 85-year-old spillway and the nearby Kittson County Highway 28 Bridge. While this overhaul is planned, DNR is keeping a watchful eye on the dam to ensure everyone's safety.
Curious folks can view project details on the DNR’s website. Those who prefer a physical copy can simply call 651-259-5122 to request one. The project is also available for a deeper look at Hallock Public Library and Lake Bronson State Park.
Applications for the AGRI Sustainable Agriculture Demonstration Grant close on December 7, 2023, with successful applicants expected to receive news in early 2024.
Everyone who shares their thoughts will receive feedback from the DNR. And remember, your comments will be public, so they'll include your name and contact details as part of the environmental review.
