This September, women in agriculture have a date marked with knowledge and empowerment. West Central Research and Outreach Center in Morris, MN beckons for the Thriving Roots: Women in Ag Field Day for Productive Soils event on Friday, September 8, 2023.
From 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Central time, this event is specifically tailored to cater to women who are keen on understanding soil health. Experts will shed light on a plethora of topics, which range from the advantages and financial aspects of cover crops to the way different tillage tools enhance crop growth.
The day is designed for learning and interaction, featuring four sessions on tillage, planting green, soil erosion, and cover crop benefits. The rotational format ensures comprehensive understanding, with each topic presented four times. The day concludes with a deep dive into the Economics of Cover Crops.
For added bonus there's designated networking time. This is a golden chance for attendees to meet peers, exchange questions, and share soil health strategies that can be implemented on their farms.
