Ticket Deadline Extended for Women in Sustainable Ag Conference

The deadline has been extended to Thursday to purchase tickets to the national Women in Sustainable Ag Conference in St. Paul Oct. 17-19. With a unique blend of workshops, tours, demos, meet-ups, and more, this event gives you the chance to share ideas, collaborate, and grow your skills as a farmer, food-system-change leader, and food justice advocate.

Sessions on:

- Improving your communication/negotiation/self-promotion skills

- Building a successful farm business (legalities, income ideas, finances)

- Stepping up to create change as a leader in office

- Creating coalitions to build a more just food system

Intensives and tours (available individually or added to a conference ticket):

Plate to Politics: Use Storytelling to Create Change -- Sherri Dugger, Kris Marion, Liz Johnson, Teresa Kittridge, Theresa Keaveny, Karen Clark. Tour: Women's Environmental Institute Farm

Regenerative Farm Design & Permaculture Landscaping -- Paula Westmoreland, Lindsay Rebhan, Andrea Eger, Tiffany LaShae. Tour: Frogtown Farm (urban organic farm) & Tiny Diner (permaculture garden)

Opportunities & Community for Women in Livestock -- April Prusia, Brandi Bonde, Betty Anderson, Emma Schroeder, Sylvia Burgos-Toftness. Tour: Eastside Food Co-op meat processing facilities
