Four Receive Outstanding Agricultural Mentor Award

Four individuals were recognized as 2017 Outstanding Agricultural Mentors at the Women's Agricultural Leadership Conference, in Chaska, Minn. This is the 15th year that District 11 Agri-Women have sponsored this honor to recognize people who have served as mentors for women in agriculture.

The selection committee reviews nominations and looks for those who have positively impacted the lives of women in agriculture. The committee also considers traits and qualities that make each of these individuals outstanding members of the agricultural community.

The 2017 Outstanding Agricultural Mentor Award Recipients are: Bruce and Cheryl Mohn, owners of Udder Tech, Inc. and former dairy farmers; Jeanne Poppe, Minnesota State Representative of District 27B; and Dan VonBank, retired Agriculture Teacher from MACCRAY and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High Schools.

District 11 Minnesota Agri-Women is an affiliate of American Agri-Women. Minnesota Agri-Women works to provide a united voice, promoting agriculture through communication, education, and networking. The Women's Agricultural Leadership Conference is an annual event that has become a leading networking and leadership development resource for women in agriculture.
