Minnesota Farm Real Estate Value Unchanged

Minnesota's farm real estate value, a measurement of the value of all land and buildings on farms, averaged $4,840 per acre in 2020, according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service -- Land Values 2020 Summary. This is unchanged from last year.

Cropland value, at $4,800 per acre, was down $10 from last year. Pasture, at $1,680 per acre, was down $20 from last year.

Cropland cash rent paid to Minnesota landlords in 2020 averaged $164.00 per acre according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. Non-irrigated cropland rent averaged $163.00 per acre, unchanged from last year. Irrigated cropland rent averaged $188.00 per acre, down $17.00 from 2019. Pasture rented for cash averaged $24.00 per acre, down $4.00 from the previous year.
