4-H Livestock Zoom Meeting Guide

4-H Livestock Zoom Meeting Guide

By Scout Nelson

A 4-H livestock animal project Zoom meeting has been scheduled to help members understand important guidelines for upcoming events. The online meeting will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m. Central Time.

The session is designed for all county 4-H members planning to take part in livestock projects at county fairs and related events. A Zoom meeting link will be shared through email with enrolled animal science project families before the event.

The meeting will cover key topics such as animal science identification requirements and important reminders for participants. One of the main highlights is the Minnesota 4-H Animal ID deadline, which is set for May 15, 2026. This deadline applies to several livestock categories, including dairy, goats, horses, poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine, and beef animals.

Members who plan to participate must own or lease their animals, properly identify them, and enter all required information into their 4-H Online profile before the deadline. Completing this process on time is necessary for participation in fairs and official events.

Additional county-specific information is available online at z.umn.edu/roseaucounty4-HanimalID. Members are encouraged to review this link carefully to ensure all requirements are met.

The program is organized to support youth learning and provide equal opportunities for participation. Anyone needing special accommodation is encouraged to contact the event organizer at least two weeks before the meeting. Late requests will be considered when possible. The session will be conducted in English, and interpreter services may be arranged with advance notice.

For questions or more details, participants can contact the Extension office at 218-463-1052 or reach out via email id- shero018@umn.edu.

This meeting provides a helpful opportunity for young participants to prepare livestock projects, understand rules clearly, and ensure successful participation in upcoming agricultural events.
