630 attendees explore cattle-related sites at MSCA Event

The Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association (MSCA) hosted its Annual Summer Tour in collaboration with Murray and Pipestone County Cattlemen's Associations. A staggering 630 attendees hopped on 11 buses, exploring multiple cattle-related sites across southwestern Minnesota.

The tour offered a chance to network with producers, engage in onsite tradeshows, and gain insights into various operations and businesses.

Tour stops included the Heartland Colony, Baustian's Feedlot, Brinkmeyer Farms, Chestnut Angus, Ford Farms, Schuur Concrete, Monogram Meats, and Verlinde Farms, showcasing a wide array of cattle operations and innovations.

The tour concluded with a delectable steak dinner, during which local musician Myah Schroeder provided entertaining tunes. Attendees also had the opportunity to win exciting prizes, including a pellet grill, gift cards, and coolers.

Prior to the Summer Tour, MSCA hosted their July Quarterly Meeting and a Political Action Committee (PAC) Event. The PAC fundraiser aimed to support candidates who align with the MSCA's policy agenda, contributing to the growth and welfare of the Minnesota beef community.

Next year's Summer Tour will be hosted by the Northwestern Stockmen Association, offering more opportunities to experience the dynamic world of cattle in Minnesota. To be part of the MSCA and contribute to the cattle industry's advocacy, visit mnsca.org/become-a-member.
