Register Now for Strategic Farming Let's Talk Crops 2026

By Scout Nelson

Registration is now open for the 2026 Strategic Farming Let’s Talk Crops winter webinar series. This online program is designed to address key questions and challenges facing commodity crop production today, with a strong focus on practical learning and open discussion.

The live webinar sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays from early January through late March 2026. Each session will run from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and will be hosted online through Zoom. Participants can join using a computer, phone, or other mobile device, making the program accessible from any location.

Sessions are structured to be informal and interactive. Each meeting will begin with a short presentation from topic leaders, followed by open discussion shaped by participants' questions. This format allows attendees to engage directly with experts and explore real-world crop production concerns.

Topics planned for the series include current trends in corn and soybean production, monitoring crop disease and insect issues, emerging weed and pest management technologies, and understanding market conditions. Experts from universities and industry across the region will contribute to insights and perspectives.

For those unable to attend live, recordings of all sessions will be made available online for later viewing. This ensures participants can still benefit from the information even if they miss a session.

There is no cost to participate in the webinar series. The program is offered with support from crop research and promotion organizations committed to advancing farmer education and crop production knowledge.

Certified Crop Advisor continuing education units have been applied for and will be available to participants who attend live sessions. Full details on topics and speakers are available through the Strategic Farming program webpage.

Extension encourages anyone interested in commodity crop production to register early and take part in the 2026 Strategic Farming Let’s Talk Crops program.
