Kandiyohi County 4-H is organizing a Livestock Committee Meeting to support youth education in animal science. The meeting takes place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m. Central time. It is held at the Kandiyohi Power Coop Community Room in Spicer, Minnesota. The event provides a space for members and volunteers to come together and plan activities related to livestock education.
The Livestock Committee plays an important role in planning, promoting, and delivering educational programs and events. These programs focus on livestock and aim to build interest among young people. The committee helps students learn valuable skills that support their growth and development in agriculture. It also works to strengthen knowledge related to animal care and livestock management.
The meeting is open to all currently enrolled 4-H members and approved volunteers. It welcomes individuals who are interested in supporting youth programs and helping students learn more about livestock projects. Participants have the opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and contribute to planning future events.
The committee focuses on improving educational opportunities while encouraging teamwork and leadership. It supports the development of skills that benefit students both in agriculture and in everyday life. Through active participation, members gain confidence and build connections within the community.
For those interested in attending, questions can be directed to Kylee Sherod, 4-H Educator, via email at shero018@umn.edu. Early communication helps participants understand meeting details and expectations.
The University of Minnesota Extension ensures equal access to all programs. Participants who need accommodations are encouraged to contact the event organizer at least two weeks before the meeting. Interpreter services may also be available with advance notice.
This meeting helps create a supportive learning environment where youth can grow, learn, and succeed in livestock and agriculture programs.
