The University of Minnesota Extension is hosting a valuable three-part webinar series titled "Economic Risk as a Cattle Owner." This series is designed to assist cattle owners in navigating the complexities of livestock risk protection (LRP), beef cattle business entity risks, and strategies for consistently maximizing profits from feeder calves.
The first session, scheduled for January 17, will feature Charley Fetzer from Commodity and Ingredient Hedging LLC. Fetzer will provide insights into understanding LRP and applying it effectively to cattle operations.
These informative Zoom meetings are slated for Wednesdays - January 17, 31, and February 14, each running from 8 to 9 p.m. The webinars target a diverse audience including farmers, 4-H members, ag business professionals working with farmers, and individuals interested in beef cattle.
Participation in the webinar is free of charge. Registrants will receive a Zoom link upon registration and must register for each session they plan to attend. For those who cannot make the live sessions, recordings will be available via email.
This webinar series presents an excellent opportunity for those in the cattle industry to enhance their knowledge and skills, helping to safeguard their operations against market fluctuations and maximize their economic potential.
