The renowned World Dairy Expo® showcased the exceptional skills of young dairy enthusiasts during the 101st National 4-H Dairy Cattle Judging Contest. Out of all the competing teams, Minnesota, with team members Calvin Benrud, Natalie Clemenson, Evelyn Scheffler, and Caryn Miklas, guided by coaches Tony Scheffler, Maizie Scheffler, and Emily Mollenhauer, seized the lead.
Not far behind was the Missouri team, missing the top spot by a mere 9 points. The team consisted of Molly Archer, Case Melzer, Libby Shaver, and Logan Archer, mentored by Karla Deaver and Ted Probert. Oregon, Florida, and Ohio completed the top five line-up, respectively.
Natalie Clemenson from Minnesota earned the honor of the highest-scoring individual, closely followed by Johanna Heijkoop of Florida and Evelyn Scheffler, also from Minnesota. When it came to team reasoning skills, Missouri took the lead, with Florida and Wisconsin not far behind.
The success of the National 4-H Dairy Cattle Judging Contest is attributed to its sponsors, including the Platinum Level Sponsor, Channel Seed, and Silver Sponsor, Bio-Vet, Inc., among others.
