In 2021, Nobles County led all Minnesota counties in total soybean production, with 10.8 million bushels according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Redwood (10.7 million), Faribault (10.3 million), Jackson (10.1 million) and Blue Earth (9.95 million) rounded out the top five counties with the highest production.
Statewide, seventeen counties averaged at least 60.0 bushels per acre. Waseca County had the highest yield with an average of 67.4 bushels per acre. Nobles (63.3), Nicollet (63.0), Watonwan (62.7), Wabasha and Scott (62.5, tie) rounded out the top five highest yielding counties. Red Lake County recorded the lowest average yield at 18.4 bushels per acre.
