The Strategic Farming webinar series offers valuable, research-based insights to enhance crop management for the 2025 season. These informal, online sessions are open to anyone interested, making them perfect for farmers, consultants, ag professionals, and Extension personnel. Each session will begin with a short presentation by the day's speakers, followed by a discussion centered around questions from attendees.
One of the key topics covered in the series is nitrogen management in light of current crop economics and high input costs. Moderated by Dave Nicolai, Extension educator in crops, this session will feature Dr. Fabián Fernández, Extension nutrient management specialist, and Brad Carlson, Extension educator for water quality.
They will share the latest research on slow-release nitrogen fertilizers and inhibitors, providing actionable insights to help optimize nitrogen use in these challenging economic times.
The webinars are free to attend, thanks to the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and the Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council.
To participate, simply register on the course page, and you will receive a confirmation email along with reminder emails and a link to the webinar.
