Staples Cow Calf Days 2026 is a well-known educational event designed to support beef cow-calf producers and agricultural industry workers. Now in its 53rd year, the program continues to serve as a trusted learning source for cattle farmers across Minnesota and nearby regions.

The event takes place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Central Time. It is hosted at Central Lakes College, located at 1830 Airport Road, Staples, Minnesota. The program welcomes cattle producers of all operation sizes who want to learn practical and easy ways to improve herd health and farm performance.

The program offers learning sessions that focus on important topics related to cattle production and farm business care. Experts from the University of Minnesota Extension lead the sessions and share simple, useful information.

Topics include herd health concerns that may return over time, basic cow and calf nutrition needs, mineral use for strong animal growth, and research updates that help farmers stay informed about new methods. These sessions help producers understand how better feeding, health care, and management can support stronger cattle and better farm results.

The cost to attend is $10 per person. Participants must register by January 13, 2026. Registration can be completed by contacting Brenda Miller, Extension educator, at nels4220@umn.edu or calling 320-533-4566. When registering, participants must share their name and the number of people attending.

The event is delivered in English. Interpreter services and disability accommodations are available with early requests made at least two weeks before the event, Register here.

Staples Cow Calf Days 2026 gives farmers a friendly place to learn, ask questions, and connect with others in the beef industry. This event supports farm families by sharing knowledge that helps improve cattle care, business planning, and long-term farm success.
