While storms across Minnesota stayed relatively tame this weekend, Mahnomen and other parts of northwestern Minnesota saw more extreme weather Saturday.
Tornadoes with wind speeds between 135 to 160 miles per hour tore through the Mahnomen area, about 50 miles west of Bemidji. Some damage to homes and other buildings was reported.
