4H Hog Roast Returns 2026

4H Hog Roast Returns 2026

By Scout Nelson

Goodhue County 4-H will host its 23rd annual Hog Roast on April 26, 2026, at the Goodhue Lions Community Building. This long-running event is one of the two main fundraisers that help support local 4-H youth programs throughout the year.

The Hog Roast plays an important role in making 4-H programs more affordable for families. Because of the strong community support for this fundraiser, many registration fees have been reduced or completely removed. This allows more students to take part in learning activities, leadership training, and fun educational events offered by 4-H.

Along with the dinner event, an online auction will be held from April 20 through April 24, 2026. Community clubs and local businesses will donate a wide variety of items for this auction. Everyone is encouraged to view the auction items and place bids when the auction link becomes available on April 20.

All auction items can be paid for and picked up during the Hog Roast event on April 26. Until the auction officially opens, QR codes printed on tickets and posters will direct visitors to the main information page for updates.

Tickets for the Hog Roast can be purchased from local 4-H club members or by contacting the Extension office. The Extension team also provides support through phone and email services to help families get more information about the event and the programs it supports.

Hog Roast is more than just a meal. It is a community celebration that brings families together while supporting youth development. Funds raised from the dinner and auction are used to provide hands-on learning experiences, skill-building workshops, leadership activities, and other educational programs for young participants.

By taking part in the Hog Roast and online auction, community members help create better learning opportunities for students across Goodhue County. Every ticket purchased, and every auction bid contributes to keeping youth programs accessible, engaging, and meaningful for future generations.
