Call for Sessions at Organic Conference

Call for Sessions at Organic Conference

By Scout Nelson

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is calling for session proposals and speaker suggestions for the 2026 Minnesota Organic Conference. The event is scheduled for January 8-9, 2026, at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, MN.

This annual conference is designed to bring together organic growers, from beginners to experienced producers, to foster knowledge exchange and advance organic farming practices in the state.

The department invites proposals for a variety of session formats, including breakout sessions, panel discussions, and keynote speakers. Organizers aim to provide a diverse range of topics that meet the needs of all attendees, regardless of their level of experience in organic farming.

Submissions are being accepted through June 13, 2025, via a simple online form. A planning committee will review all proposals and select the most engaging and relevant sessions. Those selected as presenters will receive complimentary registration for the conference, reimbursement for travel expenses, and an honorarium for farmers or individuals who may require it.

The conference is a key event for organic farmers in Minnesota, offering a unique opportunity to network with industry leaders, learn about the latest trends, and share valuable insights. For those interested in exhibiting or sponsoring the conference, information will be available in late August.

Updates on the conference program, exhibitors, and sponsorship opportunities can be received by signing up for notifications through the official website.

The full program for the conference will be released later this fall. This event will provide a significant platform for educators, researchers, and advocates to engage with organic farmers and contribute to the growth of organic agriculture in Minnesota.
