Winona Co. Farm Bureau Members Finish in Top 10 in Nation

Glen and Melinda Groth from Winona County finished in the Top 10 in the Achievement Award national competition at the American Farm Bureau Federation's (AFBF) 99th Annual Meeting. The contest was held during the AFBF Annual Meeting in Nashville,
Groth's advanced to the AFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) competition after capturing top honors in the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation YF&R Achievement Award Contest in November. They competed against 29 other state winners. The
Achievement Award contestants are selected on their exceptional efforts in agriculture through farm management and leadership achievements as well as effective use of capital in their farm.
Glen and Melinda grow corn soybeans and alfalfa and milk dairy cows near Ridgeway. They have two daughters.
Nearly 50 Farm Bureau members from Minnesota are among the over 6,000 Farm Bureau members representing each state and Puerto Rico at the AFBF Annual Meeting. The meeting also features workshops and seminars, as well as, the national resolutions
session which set policies for the upcoming year.
