Paycheck Protection Program Deadling Aug. 8; Farmers May Qualify
Minnesota Ag Connection - 08/05/2020

Apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) by Aug. 8. Find information, links, and webinar recordings at https://bit.ly/30ts6Kp.

Many farmers are eligible. Two common agricultural scenarios that are eligible for PPP:

- A sole proprietor without employees shows positive net income on either an IRS Schedule F or Schedule C from 2019.

- A farm or agricultural business with paid seasonal, part-time or full-time employee(s). Often a 2019 IRS Form 943 is used to establish payroll costs.

View a webinar recording in English, Spanish, or Hmong to find out what eligibility looks like and the forms and steps to apply for PPP.

The webinar was sponsored by Farmers' Legal Action Group, Minnesota Farmers' Market Association, Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable Farming Association, University of Minnesota Extension, and Minnesota NCR-SARE.
